How to light a candle online for someone
You can light a candle online at Quiet Light Church without signing up. Open the cathedral, tap “Light a free candle,” and a small light appears on the side stands. You may add a short line for someone, and it joins the Wall of Light after review. A free candle can be lit once every ten minutes.
How to do it
- Open the cathedral Go to church.tllhouse.com in any browser, on your phone or computer. No account or download is needed.
- Step inside Enter and take a moment in the sanctuary. You can stay as long as you like.
- Tap “Light a free candle” A small candle is lit on the side stands. You can light another one after about ten minutes.
- Add a short line (optional) Write a name or a few words, up to 60 characters. It is reviewed before it appears on the Wall of Light.
- Choose a longer candle (optional) If you wish, give a one-time candle that shines for one, three or seven days. It is never required.
What happens when you light one
Free candles stand on the side stands of the sanctuary while you and other visitors worship. A line of up to 60 characters can go with it, such as a name or a few words of hope. Lines are checked before they appear on the Wall of Light, so a short wait is normal.
The candle is a quiet gesture, not a transaction. It is a way to hold someone in mind while the service goes on.
Free and longer-lasting candles
The free candle costs nothing. If you wish, you can also give an optional one-time candle that shines longer: ₩1,000 (about US$1) for one day, ₩10,000 (US$8) for three days, or ₩50,000 (US$40) for seven days. There is no subscription.
Paying is never needed to pray or to be heard, and it does not change how a prayer is answered. We would never suggest otherwise.
Who leads, and who is there
The pastor who leads worship is an AI, speaking with recorded voices. Other visitors in the hall are real people. If AI worshippers are present they are clearly labelled and never counted as people.
Questions
- Is it free to light a candle online?
- Yes. The free candle costs nothing and needs no sign-up. Longer-lasting candles are optional one-time gifts, never subscriptions.
- Can I light a candle for someone who is ill or has died?
- Yes. You can add their name or a few words as your line. Because the Wall of Light is public, share only what you are comfortable having others read.
- How often can I light a free candle?
- About once every ten minutes. If you try sooner, the app asks you to wait a little.
- Does a paid candle make a prayer more likely to be answered?
- No. Paying brings no guarantee and no extra blessing. A longer candle simply shines longer in the cathedral.
